The Buffalo Niagara Choirs, Inc was created in 2012 through the merger of the newly formed Buffalo Master Chorale and the well established Buffalo Niagara Youth Chorus. With the unified choral program, the Buffalo Niagara Choir offer singers of the Buffalo-Niagara region a lifelong choral experience unlike any other in the community or region.
Brand Identity: The Buffalo Niagara Choirs, at its heart, had a story that made it unique from the other choirs in Western New York. It was a family. A Youth Choir and a Master Chorale brought together created a family of choirs. Grandmothers sang with granddaughters and best friends grew up through the ranks of both choirs.
To tell that story we created a new website to help people learn about the family, drive ticket sales, and hear their amazing singing. The website hosted the new mission statement, value proposition, and their first-ever branded logo.
Marketing Techniques: The left brain brought together strategies that would bring a stronger audience turnout the Buffalo Niagara Choirs concerts. Using Mailchimp, we implemented a monthly newsletter with segmented lists for donors, chorus members, and audience attendees. We also utilized paid social media advertising and reached out to local news outlets to increase our public relations channels and posted concerts on event calendars. To continue our marketing efforts I trained marketing committee to maintain these new efforts.
